Transportation to Airport from San Antonio City Center

San Antonio Intl. Airport

There is a diverse range of vehicles that can be used to reach San Antonio International Airport from the city centre. The cheapest mode of transportation is the public bus. If time and comfort is of importance, you can take a taxi, use a shuttle service, or rent a vehicle suitable to your budget.

Taxi

You can reach San Antonio International Airport from the city centre by taxi in around 20 minutes. This journeys costs between 27 and 29 dollars.

Shared Vehicle

You can enjoy the same comfort provided by a taxi but for a more affordable price by sharing a ride from the city centre to the airport. To take advantage of this service, you must download the Uber&Lift and GetMe apps to your smartphone and request a vehicle. Travellers are dropped off at points B-19 and B-20, which are located at the end of terminal B building.

Car Rental

You can rent a vehicle in the city centre to add greater freedom to your trip, and to easily reach the airport for your return flight. Take the U.S. Route 281 (US-281 S) to San Antonio International Airport. The journey will last approximately 20 minutes. You can spoil yourself a little by hiring a limousine services company that has a working relationship with the airport.

Services

The Super Shuttle is a company that transports passengers to the airport. This company provides a door-to-door private service. If travelling from the city centre to the airport, the cost of this service is 19 dollars per person; it can cost up to 29 dollars per person if travelling to the airport from outside the city centre.

Bus

You can reach the airport from the city centre by taking bus route 30. Bus route 30 lines up together with bus route 5, however, no extra fees are charged to those who began their journey from the city centre. A one-way ticket costs 1.3 dollars and the journey lasts approximately 35 minutes. The bus to the airport operates daily between 05.00 and 22.00.

Hotel Shuttle Service

You can take advantage of the free shuttle service if residing at a hotel that is within the proximity of the airport. Even though such a service is not available at hotels in the city centre, a shuttle provider can be arranged upon request. In both cases, keep in mind that you must book in advance.
