Transportation to Airport from Honolulu City Center

Honolulu International Airport can be reached from the city centre by taxi or with a rented vehicle in around 15 minutes. Some hotels offer their guests a shuttle service, which is a practical alternative.  Although construction works on the Honolulu Rail Transit Project is ongoing, travellers that prefer to use public transportation to and from the airport should use the bus until the railway line is complete.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available outside the arrivals terminal. Travel to the city centre by taxi can take approximately 15 minutes. You can rent a vehicle suitable to your budget through car rental companies inside the airport, and drive to the city centre by using the routes I-H-1 E and H-92 E. Considering traffic, the trip from the airport to the city centre usually takes 15 minutes.

Bus

Travellers that prefer to use public transport can use bus routes 19, 20, and 31 to reach different areas of the city. The bus station is located outside of the arrivals terminal.  A one-way ticket costs 2.5 dollars.

Hotel Shuttle Service

Many accommodation options in Honolulu provide shuttle services to guests. You can book a hotel shuttle service for a faster and more comfortable journey. Please be aware that while some hotels provide shuttle services for free, others charge additional fees.

Airport Information

Located 3 miles from the city centre, the Honolulu International Airport is a small airport, but has all the services and facilities expected from an airport. The architectural features of the airport provide plenty of open space. Other than cafes and restaurants, the airport offers accessory stores, a store that sells toys, two lounges and a conference hall.

Transportation to Orlando City Center from Airport

Orlando Intl. Airport

Orlando International Airport is located in very close proximity to the city center, only 9 km away. There are a variety of different transportation alternatives available to get to the city center from the airport. Most hotels in the city offer hotel shuttle services to the city. We recommend finding out if the hotel you are staying at offers this service, as it is the most convenient transportation alternative. You can also get to the city center from Orlando International Airport by taxis, buses, or rental cars.

Bus

Buses are a viable way to get to the airport depending on your location in the city. Lynx buses operate routes to various parts of the city from Orlando International Airport. Lynx bus 11 and Lynx bus 51 run to Downtown Orlando, Lynx bus 42 runs to International Drive, and Lynx bus 111 runs to Florida Mall/SeaWorld. Depending on your destination in the city taking the bus from the airport can take between 40-60 minutes. If you don’t have excess luggage and if you’re not in a hurry then buses are a viable transportation alternative to get to the city center. Train

The SunRail commuter train, which began in 2014, is used for transportation throughout the Greater Orlando area. The SunRail regularly operates on weekdays. To get to the city center from Orlando International Airport passengers can take the SunRail from the Sand Lake Road SunRail Station. Shuttle Services

There are many companies in Orlando that offer shuttle or private car services to the city center from the airport including Town Car, Orlando Airport Van, Mears Transportation, and SuperShuttle. These shuttle services are a comfortable transportation alternative to get to the city from Orlando International Airport. Vehicles that are run by these companies operate 24 hours a day. Rates can vary depending on the company you choose, the vehicle you request, and your destination in the city.

Rental Car

Renting a car from the airport to get to the city center is a very convenient transportation alternative. There are many rental car offices located onsite at the airport. You can also book your rental car beforehand by making a reservation online. Orlando has one of the largest rental car markets in the world. Renting a car is also a useful alternative to get around in the city during your trip. Rental car companies that you can choose from include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, E-Z, Firefly, Hertz, National, and Thrifty.

Taxi

Taxis are a very convenient way to get to the city center from the airport. Taxis are easily accessible from Level 1 of the terminal exits. Taxis do not implement a flat rate, fares are calculated based on the kilometers traveled. Taxi companies operating from Orlando International Airport include Ace Metro/Luxury Cab, Diamond Cab Company, Quick Cab, Star Taxi, Town & Country Transport and Mears Taxi Yellow/City Cab. Orlando Sanford Intl. Airport

Orlando Sanford International Airport is the second international airport to serve the city of Orlando. The airport is located in Sanford, 32 km from downtown Orlando. Due to its distance from the Orlando city center, Orlando Sanford International Airport isn’t a popular airport among international travelers.

You can get from Orlando Sanford International Airport to the city center by public transportation. You can get to the city center from the airport by taxi, rental car, or private shuttles. Taxis are easily accessible at the airport. There are various rental car companies located at the airport including Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty.
