Transportation to Airport from Atlanta City Center

Atlanta is an important junction point of land, air, and rail transportation in the United States. Metro

The airport is easily and directly accessible from the city center by metro. The metro line that runs directly to the airport can be accessed from the Five Points Station in the city center, where 4 metro lines intersect.

Using the gold and red metro lines you can get to the airport from Five Points in 15 minutes and from Peachtree in 17 minutes. If you’re traveling on the green or blue line you have to transfer to the red or gold line at Five Points.

Car

Since the airport is located very close by, driving is a quick and easy alternative. If you’re flying domestically you need to take the I-85, which connects directly to the domestic terminal. If you’re flying internationally you need to take the I-75, which connects directly to the international terminal. Both the I-85 and I-75 connect to other major freeways that provide access to other parts of the United States.

For buses to the city center follow the green signs, the gold and red metro lines go to the city center, and to get to nearby hotels follow the purple signs. Transportation to Nashville City Center from Airport

You can travel to Nashville city center from the airport by using the means of public transportation or private vehicles. Whichever alternative you choose, you can reach the city center in a short time. Using a bus significantly reduces your transportation cost. In addition, if you need a more comfortable and faster transportation vehicle, you can prefer airport hotel shuttle, taxi or shuttle bus. You can also rent a shuttle, minivan or limousine at the airport and comfortably travel to anywhere you want in the city.

Taxi

Taximeter starts at 7 dollars and the rate is 2.10 dollar per mile. However, there is a fixed fare applied for the transportation to the city center from the airport. This fare is 25 dollars. If you find another passenger to share your taxi, 1 dollar is added to this amount. In this way, you can travel to the city center by paying 13 dollars per person. It takes about 15 minutes to reach the city center by taxi under normal traffic conditions.

Car Rental

Ten different car rental companies offer car rental service for the passengers of the airport. The center where you can rent a car is located opposite the terminal building and next to the short-term parking area that you can reach after a few minutes’ walk. You can rent your car here and take the road to the city center in a comfortable way. You can reach the city center in about 15 minutes by following the highway l-40 E.

Bus

You can see the bus stops after leaving the baggage claim area of the airport. It is possible to reach the city center less than half an hour by getting on the bus route 18. The ticket price of this bus route is 2.50 dollars.

Shuttle

At the airport, there are a few private companies offering shuttle service. These companies offer transportation service to different destinations in addition to Nashville city center. Some of these shuttles drop you off wherever you want. You can visit the “Ground Transportation” desk located at the arrivals terminal in order to get information about the departures hours and prices of these shuttles.

Limousine

If you want a luxurious and comfortable travel, you can rent a limousine from a company offering service at the airport. There are more than thirty limousine rental company.

Hotel Shuttle

More than thirty accommodation centers in Nashville offer airport shuttle service for their guests. You can comfortably travel to your hotel with one of these comfortable and fast vehicles by making a reservation in advance by contacting your hotel.
