Transportation to Airport from Pittsburgh City Center

Pittsburgh International Airport

There are three transportation options to Pittsburgh International Airport: taxis, buses, which is the only mode of public transportation available, and car rental.

Taxi

As the city centre is a considerable distance from the airport, and late-night public transportation is not available, taxis are the fastest and most reliable mode of transportation. The travel duration from downtown Pittsburgh to the airport with a taxi is approximately 45 minutes.

Bus

Considering traffic, travel from the city centre to the airport with a bus varies from 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes. Bus departure times vary between weekdays and weekends. The buses usually operate from 05.50 until 00.25.

Car Rental

You can rent a vehicle if you would like to get into the mix of Pittsburgh’s traffic. Due to the presence of many car rental companies in the airport and city centre, hiring a vehicle is easy. You can return your car rental to a company representative at the airport.

There are many alternatives for travelling to the city center from Alicante Airport. You can rent a car at the airport or get on a taxi. Benefitting from the airport shuttle service of your hotel is another option. Those who prefer using a means of public transportation can get on a bus.

Taxi

There are taxis waiting for their passengers daylong outside the baggage claim area. Travelling to the city center from Alicante Airport by taxi costs about 20 Euro.

Car Rental    

Centauro, Hertz, Goldcar, Sixt, Record Go, Europcar and Avis car rental companies have their offices at Alicante Airport. You should drive southward on the road N332 to reach Alicante city center from the airport. This road is quite enjoyable since it offers a fantastic sea view during the travel. If you don’t want to use the car yourself or you don’t have an international driver's license, you can rent a car with a driver from AeroCity which you find on the first floor of the airport.

Bus

Yellow C-6 buses, which depart from the airport every 20 minutes, pass through all important points of the city including the central railway station. The buses operate from 06:00 am to 11:00 pm. One-way ticket price is 3.85 Euro and you can buy the ticket from the driver. Those travelling to Elche and Torrellano region can get on the bus route 1A and passengers going to Arenales del Sol region can get on the bus route 1B. Ticket price of these routes are 1.50 Euro. Passengers travelling to more distant regions can use the green Intercity bus routes.

Hotel Shuttle

There are many accommodation centers in Alicante and most of them offer shuttle service for their guests. You can benefit from this service by making a reservation in advance. You should keep in mind that hotels demand extra amount for this service.
