Transportation to Airport from Kuala Lumpur City Center

Kuala Lumpur Intl. Airport

Located about 45 km from the city center, KLIA is accessible by bus, train, taxi, and rental car. Each one of these methods of transportation offer their own advantages and provide passengers with a convenient way to get to the airport.

Taxi

Taxis are available everywhere in the city and provide quick transportation from the city center to KLIA. Although taxis are a bit more expensive the fact that they are one of the fastest ways of getting to the airport makes it cost-effective. Taxis are among the most reliable transportation alternatives to get to the airport.

Bus

Buses are another method of transportation you can choose to get to KLIA from the city center. Buses are a more affordable option when compared to other transportation alternatives but they are also a slower option. 

Train

Another way to get to KLIA from the city center is by train. Trains are an economic and comfortable transportation alternative to get to the airport. There are normal or express trains that you can take at the Central Train Station, or various train stations in the city. These trains provide easy access to the airport.

Rental Car

Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport was the main international airport of Kuala Lumpur, until Kuala Lumpur International Airport was opened. Today Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport serves general aviation and turboprop flights. The airport is used for charter flights and domestic and international turboprop flights. Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport is located about 30 km from the Kuala Lumpur city center.

Taxi

The most common transportation alternative to get to the airport from the city center is by taxi. Taxis might not be the most affordable option but they are the fastest. The total trip from the city center takes about 40 minutes.

Bus

Buses are another way to get to Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport. You can get on a bus in the city center and easily get to the airport. Buses are a more affordable method of transportation compared to other alternatives. However buses are not as fast as taking a taxi or driving yourselves.

Rental Car

One of the most comfortable ways to get to Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport is by rental car. There are various rental car companies that have offices in the city center. Since then Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport has been operating general aviation and turboprop flights. The airport operates regional flights to Indonesia, Thailand, and Singapore.

Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport operates Firefly Airlines and Malindo Air flights to various regional destinations as it serves as the hub for Firefly, and Malindo Air commercial turboprop flights. The airport features basic services to meet passengers’ needs as well as cafes and eating and drinking venues. 

Transportation to Xian City Center from Airport

Xian Xiguan Airport

To get to the city center from Xi'an Xianyang International Airport, you can take the airport shuttle bus. There are buses departing from the airport and going to different points of the city. You can get a more convenient transportation by taking a taxi. Do not forget that there are airport shuttle services offered by many hotels in the city.

Shuttle

The airport has shuttle buses with eight different routes. With these buses you can go to the city center as well as to the central railway station or the main bus station. The Passenger Service Center at Terminal 2 or the Ground Transportation Center at Terminal 3 can help you with which shuttle bus is better for you. You can also get your ticket from these centers.

Bus

There are eleven different bus lines departing from the airport to different points of the city as well as to distanced areas. Ticket prices range from 30 to 128 RMB depending on distance. You can find out which bus line is best for you, how to transfer if necessary and ticket prices from the Ground Transportation Center staff at Terminal 3 and you can buy your ticket here. You can also get your train ticket here if you go on a route that will require you to transfer to the train.

Taxi

After leaving the luggage delivery areas of Terminals 2 and 3, you can easily get to the taxis by following the taxi stand signs. Taxi fares vary according to the car's engine volume and day-night tariff. The daytime opening fare for all taxis is 9 RMB, while it is 10 RMB between 23:00 and 06:00. The cost per mile varies between 2 and 2.4 RMB depending on engine size. Since taxi fares should be paid in RMB, be sure to carry enough foreign currency.
