Fukuoka Airport, located 3 kilometers east of Hakata Station in Fukuoka city center, is the 4th largest airport in Japan in terms of passenger traffic. You can take the metro from metro station outside the arrival terminal, or take the city buses to get to the city center from Fukuoka Airport. Metro

You can take the metro in Hakozaki direction from the metro station located at the exit of Fukuoka Airport arrivals terminal. Bus

All of the buses departing from these stops have different routes and you can reach almost everywhere in the city. "City Bus" lines have two different routes as Nishitetsu and Royal. Canal City Hakata, Tenjin City Hall, and Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk are in the route of Royal Bus. Highway Bus goes through Hita, Kumamoto, Kurume, Omuta, Arao, and Greenland Resort & Spa. The express buses also departing from Fukuoka Airport pass through Lizuka, Tagawa and Hakata Bus Station.
