Transportation to Tel Aviv City Center from Airport

Ben Gurion Airport

Tel Aviv, one of the major cities in Israel and located on the country’s Mediterranean coastline, is the center of culture, art, education and trade. Taxi

Taxis that you can find at the Level G (ground floor) of the Terminal 3 demand higher fares at night. Since taximeters are obligatory in taxis according to the laws, you cannot bargain for the fare. Furthermore, taxi service is provided with yellow and white colored vehicles called Sherut which have the capacity of 12 passengers. In this taxi service, you cannot specify the route, you can only get off wherever you want.

Bus

You can go to the city center from the airport by taking the bus route 5 belonging to the bus company Egged. Buses operate between 05:00 am and 10:00 pm. To get on the buses, you need to buy your tickets in advance. These buses will take you to the airport in about 4 minutes which can vary according to the traffic density.

Train

Trains, one of the commonly preferred options in the transportation to the city center, are new and very comfortable. Trains operate from 05:35 am to 10:35 pm. There is a train every 30 minutes. You can buy your train tickets online or from the ticket vending machine found in the terminal building. The train station is located on the first floor (Level G) of the airport.
