The city’s first airport, Don Mueang International Airport, is a regional commuter flight hub and low-cost airline hub.

You can take buses 201 and 503 from the Royal Palace, National Museum, and Phara Nakhon, the historic city center, to Phaya Thai Station. From this station you can get to the airport in 17 minutes.

There are vehicles that depart from Victory Monument, which is one of the busiest transportation hubs in the city, to the airport every 20 minutes. You can get to the airport using luxury minibuses or buses where you need to connect or transfer in between. Minibuses 550 and 551 will take you directly to the airport. The city of Bangkok experiences extremely hot temperatures and these vehicles were designed taking that fact into consideration. These vehicles are all air-conditioned, providing comfortable transportation for tourists.

Transportation to Salt Lake City City Center from Airport

You can get to the city center from Salt Lake City International Airport by taxi or shuttles, or you can rent a car and thus have a comfortable vehicle during your entire trip. If you prefer using means of public transportation, it is also possible to get to the city center by bus or tram.  

Taxi

There is a taxi stop just at the exit of the baggage claim area and the taxis offer their passengers to arrive in the city center in less than 15 minutes.

Shuttle

There are different companies at the airport offering shuttle service with a variety of vehicles. You can get detailed information from the shuttle service information desk at the arrival terminal of the airport. You are expected to pay a fare of around 25 – 30 dollars. 5 dollar extra is charged per person if the number of the passengers exceeds three.

Car Rental

10 different car rental companies have their offices at the ground floor of the car park of the airport. With the car you rent, you can reach the city center via I-80 E or W 400 S highways. The journey lasts about 12 – 15 minutes.

Bus

You can easily access the bus stops by using the exit located in front of the baggage claim line number 8. It is possible to reach the city center in a short time like 15 minutes with bus line 453. The buses serve only during the week and one way ticket costs 2,50 dollar.

Tram

You can reach the city center by taking the green tram line from the stop located at the southern exit of the terminal 1. Tram line operates between 05:47 – 23:27 during the weekdays; between 06:36 – 23:16 on Saturdays; and between 06:20 – 22:20 on Sundays. The intervals of the trams are 15 minutes during the weekdays and 20 minutes during the weekends. Single one-way ticket is 2,50 dollar.
