Transportation to Airport from Bangkok City Center

Don Mueang Intl. Airport

The Suvarnabhumi International Airport opened for international travel in 2006. The city’s first airport, Don Mueang International Airport, is a regional commuter flight hub and low-cost airline hub.

Suvarnabhumi International Airport handles the largest amount of international passengers entering the city, handling over 53 million passengers in 2012. Bangkok is a city with a population of 8 million. Like other South Asian countries, transportation within the city can be chaotic. However, transportation to and from the airport is extremely advanced and comfortable.

Rail

You can take buses 201 and 503 from the Royal Palace, National Museum, and Phara Nakhon, the historic city center, to Phaya Thai Station. From this station you can get to the airport in 17 minutes.

You can also get on the express line at Makkasan Station. Other lines take about 30 minutes to get to the airport.

Airport Services

There are vehicles that depart from Victory Monument, which is one of the busiest transportation hubs in the city, to the airport every 20 minutes. You can get to the airport using luxury minibuses or buses where you need to connect or transfer in between. Minibuses 550 and 551 will take you directly to the airport. The city of Bangkok experiences extremely hot temperatures and these vehicles were designed taking that fact into consideration. These vehicles are all air-conditioned, providing comfortable transportation for tourists.

From the historic city center (Phara Nakhon) take the Nakhon Sawan or Lan Luang bridges and connect to the Sirat Expressway, which has a toll. From here you need to take Motorway 7, which connects directly to the airport. After reaching the airport you can park your vehicle in one of the three parking lots, which have a total car park capacity of 5 thousand vehicles.

Transportation to Montpellier City Center from Airport

Montpellier Mediterranee Airport

You can travel both economically and fast in Montpellier because Montpellier-Médirerranée Airport is located 7 kilometers away from the city center. You can prefer the means of public transportation such as bus and tramway, as well as you can take advantage of renting a car or taking a taxi to reach the city center for affordable prices.

Bus

When you exit the Montpellier-Médirerranée Airport terminal building, you will see the bus stops. Airport bus services are arranged from these bus stops to Montpellier city center. You can complete your pre-booking by choosing from one of the local and international car rental companies such as Hertz, Europcar, Avis, Enterprise, Sixt, Budget, Inter Rent, Thrifty and Auto Rapido that provide this service at Montpellier-Médirerranée Airport. Then, it only takes 6-7 minutes to reach Montpellier city center by the rental car waiting for you at the airport. All you need to do is to drive on the A9 motorway after you leave the airport.
