Transportation to Airport from Bangkok City Center

Thailand’s capital Bangkok is one of the most important tourist destinations in the Asian continent. The city, which hosted over 25 million tourists last year, has 2 airports. The Suvarnabhumi International Airport opened for international travel in 2006. The city’s first airport, Don Mueang International Airport, is a regional commuter flight hub and low-cost airline hub.

Suvarnabhumi International Airport handles the largest amount of international passengers entering the city, handling over 53 million passengers in 2012. Bangkok is a city with a population of 8 million. Like other South Asian countries, transportation within the city can be chaotic. However, transportation to and from the airport is extremely advanced and comfortable.

Rail

You can take buses 201 and 503 from the Royal Palace, National Museum, and Phara Nakhon, the historic city center, to Phaya Thai Station. From this station you can get to the airport in 17 minutes.

You can also get on the express line at Makkasan Station. Other lines take about 30 minutes to get to the airport.

Airport Services

There are vehicles that depart from Victory Monument, which is one of the busiest transportation hubs in the city, to the airport every 20 minutes. You can get to the airport using luxury minibuses or buses where you need to connect or transfer in between. Minibuses 550 and 551 will take you directly to the airport. The city of Bangkok experiences extremely hot temperatures and these vehicles were designed taking that fact into consideration. These vehicles are all air-conditioned, providing comfortable transportation for tourists.

From the historic city center (Phara Nakhon) take the Nakhon Sawan or Lan Luang bridges and connect to the Sirat Expressway, which has a toll. From here you need to take Motorway 7, which connects directly to the airport. After reaching the airport you can park your vehicle in one of the three parking lots, which have a total car park capacity of 5 thousand vehicles.

Transportation to Honolulu City Center from Airport

From the Honolulu International Airport you can get to the city center in 15 minutes by car or taxi. The airport shuttle service offered by some hotels to their customers is also a very practical alternative. Although the new metro line is underway, you have to use the as a means of public transportation until the metro is completed. It is possible to reach various points of the city center in a short time with different bus lines.

Taxi

You can reach the city center in just 15 minutes by a taxi that you can take at the exit of the airport arrival terminal.

Car Rental

You can rent a car suitable for your budget by dealing with one of the car rental companies located at the airport. You must follow I-H-1 E or HI-92 E motorway to get to the city center with the car you rent. The journey takes 15 minutes on average under normal traffic conditions.

Bus

If you prefer public transport, you can reach different points of the city center by using lines 19, 20 and 31 departing from the bus stops just outside the arrival terminal. A one-way ticket costs $ 2.50.

Hotel Service

Many hotels in Honolulu offer airport shuttle service to their guests. By booking in advance with your hotel, you can have a very convenient and fast transportation. You should remember that while some hotels charge extra for this service and others offer it free of charge.
