Transportation to Airport from Bangkok City Center

Don Mueang Intl. Airport

Thailand’s capital Bangkok is one of the most important tourist destinations in the Asian continent. The city, which hosted over 25 million tourists last year, has 2 airports. The Suvarnabhumi International Airport opened for international travel in 2006. The city’s first airport, Don Mueang International Airport, is a regional commuter flight hub and low-cost airline hub.

Suvarnabhumi International Airport handles the largest amount of international passengers entering the city, handling over 53 million passengers in 2012. Bangkok is a city with a population of 8 million. Like other South Asian countries, transportation within the city can be chaotic. However, transportation to and from the airport is extremely advanced and comfortable.

Rail

You can take buses 201 and 503 from the Royal Palace, National Museum, and Phara Nakhon, the historic city center, to Phaya Thai Station. From this station you can get to the airport in 17 minutes.

You can also get on the express line at Makkasan Station. Other lines take about 30 minutes to get to the airport.

Airport Services

There are vehicles that depart from Victory Monument, which is one of the busiest transportation hubs in the city, to the airport every 20 minutes. You can get to the airport using luxury minibuses or buses where you need to connect or transfer in between. Minibuses 550 and 551 will take you directly to the airport. The city of Bangkok experiences extremely hot temperatures and these vehicles were designed taking that fact into consideration. These vehicles are all air-conditioned, providing comfortable transportation for tourists.

From the historic city center (Phara Nakhon) take the Nakhon Sawan or Lan Luang bridges and connect to the Sirat Expressway, which has a toll. From here you need to take Motorway 7, which connects directly to the airport. After reaching the airport you can park your vehicle in one of the three parking lots, which have a total car park capacity of 5 thousand vehicles.

Transportation to Hangzhou City Center from Airport

Hangzhou Xiaoshan Intl. Airport

Airport buses and taxis that can take you from Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport to Hangzhou city center within the shortest time will be waiting for you just outside of the terminal building. If you are looking for a more comfortable alternative for transportation, you can try car rental companies located at the terminal. No matter which transportation option you choose, you will be in the city center in about 1 hour.

Bus

Transportation from the airport to the city center is very easy with airport buses. With these buses, you can go to Hangzhou city center, Zheijang or Jiangsu from Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport. After you buy your ticket from sales office located inside the terminal building, you should head to Tiyuchan Road and take the bus that goes to Hangzhou city center. Airport buses leave the airport every 15-30 minutes for Hangzhou. The most popular stations for the airport bus are Chengzhan Train Station and Marco Polo Hotel in the city center. Besides airport buses, you can prefer shuttle buses that go from the airport to Hangzhou in one hour.

Taxi

If you are going to use the taxi option in order to go to Hangzhou city center from Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport, you will have to pay approximately 100-160 Chinese Yuan. If you prefer airport taxi that serves within Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport, you will travel in a cheaper way. As the prices of airport taxis are not variable, you can go to Hangzhou with airport taxi and you can know exact amount that you will pay.

Car Rental

If you prefer domestic car brands of China while you rent a car from the car rental companies inside the airport, it will cost less. With the car that you rent in Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport, you can go to Hangzhou city center in 35-40 minutes. This may take less if you use “Airport Road” between the airport and the city center.
