Transportation to Airport from Baku City Center

Heydar Aliyev Intl. Airport

Located along the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan’s capital Baku is a rising star in the East gaining notoriety for its oil, gas, and caviar. Airport Buses

The easiest and cheapest way to get to the airport from the city center is by airport bus. Bus line 116 departs from Vurgun Park, located in central Baku, and takes about 50 minutes to get to the airport.

Metro

The metro system in Baku provides transportation to many central locations in the city like the Old City, 28 May Street, and the Caspian Sea. However, to get to the airport from the city center you have to first take the metro and then get on a bus. From central locations in the city like the Old City, Cafer Cabbari, and Khatai you can take the metro to the 28 May and Koroglu stations. From here you can get on bus line 116, which runs to the airport or take a taxi to the airport.   

Personal Car

Since the city is rich in oil, fuel is cheap, making traveling by car a very attractive option. Getting to the city center from the airport is very easy. One of the city’s most important avenues, Heydar Aliyev Avenue will connect you to the Boyuk Shor Highway, which goes to the airport. From the highway take the Airport exit. The airport contains indoor and outdoor parking lots where you can park your personal car for a certain fee.

Transportation to Aalborg City Center from Airport

Aalborg Airport

Aalborg, known as the capital of the Nordjylland region in Denmark, is a small town situated on the banks of the Limfjord Straits. It is possible to reach this city by means of Aalborg Airport near the city center. The airport is located in the northern part of the city, 6 km from the city center.

Passengers who want to travel to the city center can take the bus or train. There is also the alternative of taxi or car rental. It is not too difficult to walk to the city center for passengers who do not carry luggage. The city center is about a 1-hour walk away from the airport.

Bus

Once you arrive at the airport, you can get to the city center quickly by taking the buses 2a, 70, 71 or 200, which depart from the terminal. You can get your bus ticket from the driver. Your ticket will allow you to travel free for one hour, in the first zone covering the city center and the second zone surrounding the city center. Bus service continues after midnight. If your plane lands late at night, you can get to the city center by bus 22.

Train

Another option to go to the city center is the train. However, the nearest railway station to the airport is located 2 km from the terminal. It is possible to reach the city center by taking a train after you have walked up to here. The train continues to travel after midnight.

Taxi

You can also reach the city center by taxis located near the airport. However, taxi fares in the city are quite high.
