The distance between Shenzhen city center and Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport is not short; however there are enough alternatives for transportation. Taxi

It is always possible to find a taxi in the city center. All the taxis have a taximeter device and it costs around 100 yen to go to the airport. You should keep in mind that the taxis in Shenzhen have two different colors. With the car you rent, you can reach Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport in about 30 minutes by driving in the northwest direction on the G4 highway. There is a special slot in the airport where you can deliver your rental car. If your budget is available for this, it might be useful to rent the car with a driver.

Metro

You can reach Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport in a very short time by taking the metro line 1 from the city center. Metro starts operating at 06:30, and continues till 23:30 with intervals of five minutes. The ticket costs only 2 yen.

Shuttle

Airport shuttles operate between 07:30 and the last flight from the airport. The shuttle departing from the city center goes directly to Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport. The journey lasts about half an hour under normal traffic conditions.

Bus

Buses departing from Shenzhen city center and many points in the city are going till Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport. Most of these bus lines are express lines. Tickets are very affordable: only 2 yen.

You can transfer to Hong Kong without any formalities from Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport thanks to a special agreement between it and Hong Kong International Airport.
