Nouakchott International Airport is very close to the city center; only 4 kilometers and 10 minutes away. There is no public transport from the city center to the airport. But by taxi or renting a car, you can reach the city center very easily and quickly.

The buses operated by SOTRA run between the city center and the airport and they take airport passengers to Abidjan city center.
