To reach Tribhuvan International Airport from Kathmandu city center, you can rent a taxi or use the airport shuttle service. Taxi

It is possible to easily find a taxi in Kathmandu city center. If you ask for it your hotel would arrange a taxi for you to be in front of the hotel at the time you checkout. Although it depends on the traffic intensity, it takes about 15 minutes to reach the airport from the city center under normal conditions.

To get to Tribhuvan International Airport from the city center, you have to enter the Ring Road and follow the airport signs. Remember that you must have an international driver's license before you can drive in Kathmandu. Airport Information

Tribhuvan International Airport is the only international airport from where Kathmandu’s, as well as whole Nepal's international flights are made. The airport which is located in the Kathmandu Valley, between mountains, serves with an airstrip that is hard to land, often causing the planes to circulate around the valley again before landing.

The airport, which has been operating since 1949, is about 6 kilometers from the city center of Kathmandu. The airport has all the basic services such as post office, first aid center, foreign exchange office, and cash dispenser.
