About Halifax

Halifax is the capital of Canada's Nova Scotia province and the largest city of the region with a population of 413,710. Halifax is quite important to the economy of the area with many financial institutions and private sector firms choosing to place their headquarters being located here. To reach the city center from Stanfield International Airport, you can take a taxi from or rent a car at the airport. Seasonal shuttle service and a limited number of hotel shuttles are also available as an alternative. On the other hand, it is also possible to reach the city center by taking buses.

From the airport you can take a taxi to Halifax city center for an average of $ 63.

Car Rental

You can find car rental companies on the lower floor of the airport car park. National, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise and Hertz are the car rental companies serving here. You can reach Halifax city center in half an hour from the airport by a rental car according to your budget. You should follow the NS-118 or NS-102 motorway.

Shuttle

At Stanfield International Airport, shuttle service is offered only between May and October. You can use this service to get to the city center for a fee of $ 22.

Hotel Shuttle

A limited number of hotels in Halifax offer airport shuttle service. You can make use of this service, which is charged extra, by making a reservation in advance.

Bus

You can reach the city center in about an hour by bus number 320 from the airport. The ticket costs $ 3.50 for adults and $ 2.75 for children.
