About Chengdu
Chengdu city in Sichuan province of People's Republic of China is also the capital of the province. The population of the city, which is shortly called Rong by the Chinese, is about 10 million people according to the 2005 data. Private white and yellow shuttles start running at 6.30 in the morning till the hour of the final flight of the day to get you to the city centre. You need to go to the stops at the exit of the Terminal 1 or 2 to take these shuttles.
High-speed Train
High-speed trains can go to the city centre from the airport in 15 minutes at the very latest. You can get on these trains at the floors -1F and -2F of the Terminal 2 building. These high-speed trains run to South Railway Station once every two hours from 8.26 to 21.10 daily. Those who would like to arrive East Railway Station should take the only train at 10.34 a.m. The passengers must buy ticket at the counters located at the entrance of the station to get on these high-speed trains.
