About Albuquerque

Albuquerque is the largest city in the U.S state of New Mexico. The city is home to the University of New Mexico, considered one of the best state universities in the country. Situated on the historic Route 66, which connects the eastern and western sides of the country, Albuquerque is also an important crossroads and transport hub of the region. You can easily get to the city center from Albuquerque International Airport by train or bus. If you need a more comfortable ride, you can choose between taxi or shuttle service as well as you can prefer car rental options.

Taxi

It is possible to reach the city center within 10 minutes by taking a taxi from the taxi rank at the exit of the incoming passenger terminal. The train is one of the fastest options from the airport to the city center. By taking the train number 250, you can easily reach the city center in just 15 minutes. If you have come to Albuquerque as a transfer point, you can take the train number 222 to arrive at the big railway station.

Rent a car

You can rent a car for your entire trip by contacting with one of the car rental companies at the airport. You can get to the Gibson Boulevard or Girard Boulevard through the Yale Boulevard by car and go to the city center in 10-12 minutes.

Bus

You can reach the city center within 25 minutes by taking the bus number 50 from the bus stops at the western end of the luggage delivery area. If you want to ride the bus number 36, please note that it stops at many points in the city and reaches the city center in a total of 52 minutes under normal traffic conditions.

Shuttle Service

There are many private companies providing shuttle services at the airport. You can get help from the ‘Ground Transportation’ desk at the passenger terminal if you prefer to go to the city center by these services working with the door-to-door system.
