Gan International Airport is just 1 kilometer of the city center. You can reach the city center by bus. If you do not prefer public transportation, you can rent a car at the airport by visiting one of the car rental companies. Taxi is one of the most preferred means of transportation. On the island where there are many accommodation centers, transportation service is provided to the guests with private services. There are car rental offices at the airport. Renting a car is a good alternative for those who also want to visit the other islands and nearby places instead of staying at the hotel all the time.

If you will accommodate on other islands of Addu Atoll instead of Gan Island, you can use a speedboat for getting to the city center. You can get on a taxi for getting to the port where the speedboats depart. The distance between the port and airport is only 700 meters.

Bus

Bus is another alternative you can use to get to the city center. There are bus stops in front of the exit of arriving passenger terminal of the airport. You can comfortably get to the city center by bus.
