Transportation to Airport from Nuremberg City Center

Nuremberg Airport

Nuremberg is a city in the German state of Bavaria that has a lot of importance in history, especially during World War II and the Nazi era. The city hosts many researchers and tourists and is famous for its production of handmade toys. Nuremberg hosts the International Toy Fair and is home to the facilities of companies such as MAN SE and Siemens. The city, which welcomes millions of visitors every year, is served by Nuremberg Airport. The airport is accessible by a variety of transportation alternatives, including metro, bus, taxi, and car.

Metro

The metro is a very convenient and reliable transportation alternative to get to the airport. Nuremberg Airport is accessible by the U-Bahn metro from the city center. Line U2 provides transportation directly to the airport station. Line U2 runs between the central train station and the airport in a total of 12 minutes.  

Bus

The bus is another method of transportation one can use to get to the airport, which is located about 6 km from the city center. There are buses that provide transportation from the main railway station, from Höfles, and from Thon to the airport. Bus line 33 runs from Höfles to the airport, and bus line 32 runs from Thon to the airport. The N12 night bus also provides transportation from the city center to the airport.  

Taxi

Taking a taxi to the airport is also very convenient. You can easily find a taxi in the city center and historic city center. You can also have the hotel you are staying at help arrange a taxi for you. A taxi to the airport from the city center takes about 15 minutes.

Car

Nuremberg is one of the most important industrial cities in the state and in the country. Both locals and tourists usually drive to get around in the city and its surrounding areas. Therefore traffic in Nuremberg can be quite heavy. However, the airport is easily accessible by car using the A3 motorway. The airport contains both indoor and outdoor parking lots that offer short-term and long-term parking options. The airport has the capacity to accommodate 8,000 vehicles.

Nuremberg Airport is the international airport serving the city. It is a major international airport, having handled over 3 million passengers in 2013. The airport operates passenger services out of 1 terminal. The airport contains various services to meet passengers’ pre-flight and post-flight needs. Basic services offered at the airport include ATMs, currency exchange services, lounges, a hairdresser, Wi-Fi, a lost and found, and a conference center. The airport also features a children’s corner for families traveling with kids, an observation desk, and a wonderful bakery that offers fresh products daily, the Bakery "Kalchreuther Bäcker". It is one of the few airports in the world that has a bakery on-site.

There are a variety of bars, restaurants, and cafes where passengers can get a bite to eat or something to drink, including Marche Bistro, Mc Donald’s, Movenpick Restaurant, Terminal90, and Brezel Fritz. The airport also has many stores where passengers can go shopping including Duty Free shops, the Airport Shop, the Bookstore, Nuremberg Store, Ravensburger Shop, and Geschenkewelt. The airport also has a hotel, located right next to the terminal, the Mövenpick Hotel Nuremberg-Airport.

Transportation to Beirut City Center from Airport

Beirut Rafic Hariri Intl. Airport

Lebanon's capital city Beirut, once called "Paris of the Middle East", is still one of the most important tourist destinations in the region. Approximately 6 million of visitors coming to Beirut, which cannot turn to its old brilliant days because of the wars it has been suffering in recent years, enter the country from the Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport named after the former Prime Minister Rafic Hariri who lost his life in an assassination. Unlike many capitals or the busiest airports, official municipality buses or services are not available at this airport.

Taxi

Taxis are one of the few ways to use for the transportation to the city from the Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport, which is the only airport of Lebanon. Transportation to the Nejmeh Square, which is accepted as the center of the city, is about 30 thousand Lebanese pounds. That is 55 TL. It takes about 15 minutes to reach the city center by taxis located outside of the terminal building.

Car Rental

Renting a car is one of the ways to reach the city from the airport. Within the airport there are offices belonging to 7 different car rental companies. With the car you will rent from one of the car rental companies which are also well-known all around the world, you can reach the city center in about 15 minutes in a very comfortable way.

To get to the city, first of all you need to follow Hafez Al-Assad Street at the exit of the airport in the north direction. The name of this road, after a few kilometers later, will be Salim Salam and then it will change as Ahmad Mukhtar Beyhum Street. This road will lead you directly to the Nejmeh Square.

Private Services

At Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport there are also private companies that takes passengers to different points of the city. These companies, offering luxury transportation service, demand amounts higher than normal prices. The company named Lebanon, which has an office at the airport, is a leader about this transportation option.
