Airport Transfer

Al Dock, Opera, Sedat (Tahrir) and Naguib are the metro stations close to the center.

You need to transfer to the Green Line at Attaba station from Yellow Line, which hosts the above mentioned stations.

Even if it does not reach the airport yet, you can get off at the Abbasiye station and complete the 15 kilometers distance by taxi or bus number 111. It is also possible to reach the airport by buses 27, 111, 356 from Tahrir Square where Sedat metro station is located.

Private Vehicle

Although it is a great merit to use private vehicles in Cairo, which is similar to Istanbul with regards to its traffic and size, there may be people who want to reach the airport by private vehicles. To do this, you have to follow the Oroba road, in the east direction, to go to the airport from Zamalek island and Tahrir in the city center.

Oroba route will take you to Airport Road, which will provide you with access to the airport, after 17 kilometers.

The airport, in the Heliopolis area, is the second airport in Africa with regards to passenger traffic. With the completion of the newly constructed terminals, there are also many possibilities offered for those waiting for their flight.

Rent a car

At the airport, there are communication points of the reliable international car rental companies. You can get to the city center in about 20 minutes by driving through the I-84 E highway. You can also rent a car with a driver.

Tramway

The tram station is only 50 meters away from the luggage delivery area. You can easily reach the city center by taking the Max. Red Line tram.

Hotel Shuttle Service

Many hotels in Portland also offer airport shuttle services. This service can be a little more costly than the taxi fare; however, the shuttle waits out for you, you are welcomed at the luggage delivery area and you can enjoy going to your hotel without losing any time.
