There are different options to reach the airport from the city center in Cairo, visited by many tourists every year. The services that the hotels usually offer or arrange for you and public transport are the first ones that come to mind.

Airport Transfer

Transfer vehicles that are privately rented from Cairo International Airport and shuttles of the Cairo Airport Shuttle Bus company will pick you up at your requested destination upon your telephone and internet reservation. Public Transport

It will be possible to reach the airport with the subway lines passing through Zamalek, Wasat Al-Balad and the Nile's eastern region, which we refer to as the center of Cairo, in a few years, but you can only reach the areas close by at the moment. Al Dock, Opera, Sedat (Tahrir) and Naguib are the metro stations close to the center.

You need to transfer to the Green Line at Attaba station from Yellow Line, which hosts the above mentioned stations.

Even if it does not reach the airport yet, you can get off at the Abbasiye station and complete the 15 kilometers distance by taxi or bus number 111. It is also possible to reach the airport by buses 27, 111, 356 from Tahrir Square where Sedat metro station is located.

Private Vehicle

Although it is a great merit to use private vehicles in Cairo, which is similar to Istanbul with regards to its traffic and size, there may be people who want to reach the airport by private vehicles. To do this, you have to follow the Oroba road, in the east direction, to go to the airport from Zamalek island and Tahrir in the city center.

Oroba route will take you to Airport Road, which will provide you with access to the airport, after 17 kilometers.

The airport, in the Heliopolis area, is the second airport in Africa with regards to passenger traffic. With the completion of the newly constructed terminals, there are also many possibilities offered for those waiting for their flight.

You can travel to the city center from Araak Airport with yellow taxis which wait outside the terminal. A taxi in Arak normal tariff rate is about 0.27 USD per kilometer per person. They take an average of 4 USD per hour for waiting. When the traffic is normal, you can reach the city center in 15 minutes.

To travel from Araak Airport to Arak city center rental cars are one of the most comfortable ways to travel. You can rent a car from many companies at the airport. You will find many international companies such as Alamo, AVIS, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Europcar, Fox, Sixt at Araak Airport. If you wish you can book your car rental in advance from these companies online sites or you can rent from the offices at the airport when you land. Let us remind you that a reservation that you make in advance will be more affordable than the price you will pay at the car rental offices at the airport.

The distance from the airport to the city of Arak is 16 kilometers and you can reach the city in 15 -20 minutes by car.
