Located 20 km from Skopje, the capital of Macedonia, Skopje Airport, also known as Skopje “Alexander the Great Airport”, has the distinction of being one of the two largest and busiest airports in the country. Located in the village of Petrovec, about 20 km from central Skopje, Skopje Airport has been serving domestic and international air travel since 2011. Skopje Airport is set to become the main transit and cargo hub in the Balkans. There are many transportation methods available to get to the city center from the airport.

You can access the city center from Skopje Airport using the highway by taxi, bus, or rental car. Urban transportation within the city is advanced and well-organized, making Skopje easy to navigate.

Taxi

The fastest and most convenient way to get to the city center from Skopje “Alexander the Great” Airport is by taxi. Taxis are available every day of the week at every hour of the day.
