About Porto Santo

Located in Portugal's Porto Santo Island in the Madeira Autonomous Region, Porto Santo is 43 km north-east of Madeira Island in the Atlantic Ocean. The city occupies an area of 66 square kilometers. The city has a population of about 4500 people, and has daily flights to and from Funchal that last only 15 minutes.

There are agricultural areas in the central and southern regions of Porto Santo, a few coastal strips in the south, forests in the west and plains and hills in the north.
