Muharraq has a desert climate with very little rainfall throughout the year. During the summer the temperatures reach highs between 33-45 degrees. The rate of humidity is also quite high. The city’s most important tourist site is the Pearl Trail, which includes the Al Oraifi Museum and Sheikh Isa Bin Ali House. The Muharraq Summer Festival, held between July and August, attracts a lot of participants. Many foreigners visit the country just to participate in this festival. There are different events, various horse races, and book fairs organized every year.
