The city’s first airport, Don Mueang International Airport, is a regional commuter flight hub and low-cost airline hub.

Bangkok is a city with a population of 8 million. Like other South Asian countries, transportation within the city can be chaotic. You can take buses 201 and 503 from the Royal Palace, National Museum, and Phara Nakhon, the historic city center, to Phaya Thai Station. From this station you can get to the airport in 17 minutes.

You can also get on the express line at Makkasan Station. Other lines take about 30 minutes to get to the airport.

There are vehicles that depart from Victory Monument, which is one of the busiest transportation hubs in the city, to the airport every 20 minutes. You can get to the airport using luxury minibuses or buses where you need to connect or transfer in between. Minibuses 550 and 551 will take you directly to the airport. The city of Bangkok experiences extremely hot temperatures and these vehicles were designed taking that fact into consideration. These vehicles are all air-conditioned, providing comfortable transportation for tourists.

From the historic city center (Phara Nakhon) take the Nakhon Sawan or Lan Luang bridges and connect to the Sirat Expressway, which has a toll. From here you need to take Motorway 7, which connects directly to the airport. After reaching the airport you can park your vehicle in one of the three parking lots, which have a total car park capacity of 5 thousand vehicles.
