Taxi

Goldson International Airport is named after a famous politician of the country, who died in 2001.  You can reach the airport, which is located approximately 15 kilometers far from Belize City in Ladyville, in 30 minutes with a car.

The altitude of the airport is 5 meters higher than the city, and it is the busiest region of this small Central American country. According to the data of 2017, the number of passengers who passed through the airport is about one million, together with 5,179 international and 25,690 domestic flights. From the airport, you can fly to several states of the United States of America and countries such as El Salvador and Panama. There are no direct flights to Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport yet. The airport is used for landing by the planes of international airline companies like US Airways, American Airlines, United Airlines, Delta Airlines, Avianca, Copa Airlines, and TACA. The runway of this fully equipped airport, which opened in 1990, is 9,700 meters in length, and in addition to the international flights, there are domestic flights to several destinations via Tropic Air and Maya Island Air.
