Cutral Co is a city in Argentina's Neuguen State. The city was founded in 1933 after a petroleum was found in the nearby area. For this reason, the petrochemical industry is still a main pillar of urban economy. There are many companies working in this sector in the city. Due to the inefficiency of the arid soils that surround Cutral Co, a canal is planned to be developed that will open up the surrounding area to agriculture. During the winter season, which runs through June, July and August, the temperature drops to an average of 11C. In summer, the average temperature is 20-21C , but it can rise to 30C. The city receives very little rainfall year-round. The Carmen Funes Museum deserves to be seen as a museum on dinosaurs and home to many interesting pieces. Plaza Italia is a nice getaway spot with picnic area, playground for children and hiking path.
